Rhymetime

Libraries news and updates

We have completed the changes to our computer systems and most services are back up and running. You can now borrow, return, and renew items, make payments (in a library), borrow ebooks, eAudio and eResources and much more. We are still unable to offer some online services. For further details please see our library news page.

Rhymetimes have gradually been reintroduced within selected libraries since July 2021. If you like to attend one of our successful and free Rhymetime sessions, please check individual library events pages for details. Find my nearest library.

If you have any queries regarding our Rhymetime sessions, please email libraries@surreycc.gov.uk

We will also continue to hold the online session see digital events and activities.

You can watch past online rhymetime sessions on our YouTube channel Surrey Libraries UK.

Pebble the penguin rhymetimes

Introduce your baby to songs, rhymes and books at your library!

Pebble the penguin rhymetime sessions are aimed at babies and toddlers, aged under five, along with their mums, dads and carers. The events are based entirely on sharing nursery rhymes, action songs and percussion music. It is fun, interactive and noisy!

Nursery rhymes are great for language development, they have a lot of rhythm which catch baby's attention, and repetition, which is good for speech development. It is also a nice way of introducing babies and toddlers to their local library!

Rhymetimes are free and are a great opportunity for dads, mums, carers and children to make new friends in a relaxed setting.
