Coats for All and a Warm Welcome

During the winter months Cranleigh Library will have a rail of winter coats that customers can take if they need a coat for winter.

Anyone can help themselves to the rail without asking during the library's opening hours, with no library membership required.

As a Warm Welcome venue, the library also provides complimentary drinks.

Cranleigh Climate Action and Cranleigh Library climate cafe

Understand how to switch energy suppliers or just chat through any worries you may have about your
energy use at home

Come along to a free drop-in and get advice from a member of Cranleigh Climate Action:

  • See what financial support to help with energy bills is there to help
  • Get energy saving tips and improve our energy efficiency
  • Look into how to upgrade home insulation
  • Understand how to switch energy suppliers.

Craft space: craft, chat and coffee

Every Thursday, from 2pm to 4pm.

Each month will focus on a particular craft.

Come along to our volunteer led craft session on Thursday afternoons. This is an open craft group so please bring in any handicraft project you happen to be working on be it knitting or crochet, embroidery or darning, come for a chat and get some inspiration from fellow crafters!

If you don't have a project, feel free to use any tools and materials that our volunteer Jayne brings along. Try you hand at various crafts such as needle felting, crochet, knitting, paper crafts and lots more. Or simply help us knit our resident teddy bear a new scarf.

We want to create a space where anyone can come and learn a new craft, share their skills and ideas and help each other on our creative journeys, and we encourage any beginners to come and learn from our more experienced members.

No need to reserve a space, just pop along.

Lego club

Every Saturday from 2pm to 3pm.

Suitable for ages 4 and over. Cost: £1 per session.

We have limited space, so booking is essential. Please book at the help desk in branch or email cranleigh.library@surreycc.gov.uk.
