Storytime

Libraries reopening news and updates

From Monday 19 July we will be following step four of the Government guidelines in opening up our services. We recommend you wear a face covering when you visit. We may reduce capacity in some of our smaller libraries to allow everyone more space to enjoy their visit. Full details on our Coronavirus information page.

Storytimes will be slowly reintroduced within the libraries. To start with this will be at selected libraries only. These will be bookable and spaces will be limited. Please book on a session.

Surrey libraries storytimes in libraries

Library storytimes are generally aimed at two to five year olds and provide a fun and enjoyable introduction to books and libraries for young children.

Sharing books and stories with young children can help to build good language and listening skills and give them a head start when they begin school.

Library storytimes can foster a life long love of reading and show children that it is a fun place to be. Sessions are free and generally last 30 minutes.
