Death Cafe with The Brigitte Trust

Join us for our very first Death Cafe on Tuesday, 23 April, from 10am to 11.30am.

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session with the aim of demystifying the death experience and encouraging positive discussion around what we call "the human condition".

We will be serving up cups of coffee, slices of cake, and plenty of stimulating conversation. It's the perfect opportunity to share your thoughts, ask questions, and explore the big mysteries of life in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Death can be an uncomfortable topic for most people but when we increase our awareness of it, we can gain perspective and make the most of our (finite) lives.

Event free but spaces are limited so booking is necessary. Book online or if unable to book online please book in Haslemere Library.

Crafting circle

We are excited to launch our new Crafting Circle starting on:

Last Saturday of every month from 10am to 12 noon.

This is an open craft group so please bring in any handicraft project you happen to be working on be it knitting or crochet, embroidery or darning, come for a chat and get some inspiration from fellow crafters!

If you don't have a project, feel free to use any tools and materials we have here at the library if you fancy trying out a new craft (we have embroidery hoops, knitting needles, crochet hooks, needles and thread and more) or simply help us put together our Community Blanket.

We want to create a space where anyone can come and learn a new craft, share their skills and ideas and help each other on our creative journeys, and we encourage any beginners to come and learn from our more experienced members.
