Library mobile apps

More libraries and services to reopen from 17 August

Ashford Library will reopen on Tuesday 18 August and Addlestone Library on Tuesday 25 August.

From Monday 17 August the services at the 12 click and collect libraries that opened on 3 August will be extended and the Public will be allowed in the buildings to browse the collections and use the computers. These libraries are: Ash, Banstead, Bookham, Caterham Hill, Chertsey, Dittons, Ewell, Hersham, Knaphill Leatherhead, Reigate and Walton. Please check the opening times before you visit.

From Tuesday 18 August a further 14 libraries will be reopened offering a click and collect door service. This service will be available from the following libraries: Ashtead, Caterham Valley, Cobham, Cranleigh, Esher, Frimley Green, Haslemere, Horsley, Merstham, Molesey, Shepperton, Stanwell, Sunbury and West Byfleet. Please check the opening times before you visit.

Click and collect service

The click and collect door service allows customers to return their items, collect Ready Reads and reserved books. However, the public will not be allowed into the buildings for the time being.

Surrey libraries computer access

Computer access is now available at the following libraries: Camberley, Dorking, Egham, Epsom, Farnham, Godalming, Guildford, Horley, Oxted, Redhill, Staines, Weybridge and Woking. Please read the guidelines for use on our Coronavirus information page

The library service is working hard to increase library opening hours but these will be built back up over time due to the additional capacity needed to manage the new required measures. Visit the Coronavirus information page to keep up to date with which libraries and services are open.

eAudiobooks, Magazines and Comics

The RBdigital app lets you borrow and download a range of eAudiobooks to listen to on your device, free of charge. You can also use this app to access a variety of popular magazine titles and Comics which you can read and download on to your device, free of charge, as well as a small selection of eBooks. You need to register with RBdigital to use this service. You can register within the app:

Our other eAudiobook supplier, Ulverscroft, also offer a free app for IOS and Android devices. You can login to this with your library card number and PIN.

Naxos Music Library

Naxos provides this app, which lets you stream Naxos' vast selection of music (over 35,000 CDs worth) from your device, free of charge. Before downloading, you need to register with Naxos. Go via the Online Reference Shelf.
