More libraries to reopen offering a click and collect service

From 3 August, a further 12 libraries will reopen offering a click and collect door service allowing customers to return their items, collect Ready Reads and reserved books. However, the public will not be allowed into the buildings for the time being.

This service will be available from the following libraries: Ash, Banstead, Bookham, Caterham Hill, Chertsey, Dittons, Ewell, Hersham, Knaphill Leatherhead, Reigate and Walton. Please check the opening times before you visit.

Surrey libraries computer access

Computer access is now available at the following libraries: Camberley, Dorking, Egham, Epsom, Farnham, Godalming, Guildford, Horley, Oxted, Redhill, Staines, Weybridge and Woking. Please read the guidelines for use on our Coronavirus information page

The library service is working hard to increase library opening hours but these will be built back up over time due to the additional capacity needed to manage the new required measures. Visit the Coronavirus information page to keep up to date with which libraries and services are open.

British Library and IP Centre

The British Library, St Pancras offers a wide range of free or low cost workshops and events.

Learning in Libraries

The library offers a number of services to help you improve your computer skills. You can book a computer or use the free WiFi available.

Guildford Makerspace

Guildford Makerspace is a community-based project focused on digital creation, collaboration and skills development, located at Guildford Library.

The Makerspace has as a number of clubs and facilities. Recent session have included a workshop for the Women's Digital Club on Canva. Canva is a design tool which helps you create engaging and visual marketing materials. The Woman's Digital Club also held a workshop on Career Advice. This was delivered by a trained advisor from the National Careers Service.
