An afternoon with Matt Graydon

Friday 18 October, from 2.30pm to 4pm.

Join us at Godalming Library for an afternoon with local author Matt Graydon as he talks about his book "Leaving Fatherland".

"Leaving Fatherland" is his first novel and provides a different take on what it was like to be in the Luftwaffe during WW2. With scenes inspired by real events, it follows book-loving protagonist Oskar from his childhood in Nazi Germany to New York City and beyond, as he struggles to come to terms with his father's abuse. The session will end with some audience questions and a book signing.

In Matt Graydon's early career he trained and then worked as a journalist for local and national newspapers, developing research skills that proved vital in his historical fiction writing. In recent years he rekindled his love of creative writing, attending expert writing courses by Faber and others to develop his craft.

Event suitable for adults.

Booking necessary. Tickets cost £5. Please purchase a ticket for each person attending.

Book online or if unable to book online, please book in Godalming Library.
