Libraries reopening news and updates

From Monday 17 May, in line with latest Government guidance, libraries across Surrey County Council will be reopening more services. Events such as rhymetimes and storytimes are currently paused. Full details on our Coronavirus information page.

Please note: due to the Coronavirus pandemic we are unable to offer our regular programme of events in the library. Surrey libraries are pleased to be offering a programme of online events including regular Rhymetimes and Storytimes.

Rhymetime and storytime


Note: This event is not ticketed, please turn up at the given times below.

Come along and join us for songs and rhymes.

  • Every Thursday, at 10.15am.

  • Every Thursday, 3.30pm to 4pm

Suitable for children aged 4 to 7 years.

Would you like help using computers and the internet? Make an appointment with our Digital Buddy who can offer free, one to one, support.

Local history sessions

The Hayward Memorial Local History Centre at Lingfield library will in future arrange stewards to assist with enquiries by appointment.
