Great Big Green Week
Reigate Library are holding the following events in support of the Great Big Green Week.
Coffee morning and plant swap
Wednesday 11 June, from 10am to 12 noon.
Join us to chat all things plants and gardening. Plus, bring your unwanted plants and swap them for others that have been donated.
Plant a seed
Wednesday 11 June, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
Listen to a story, decorate a plant pot and sow a seed to nurture through the summer
Suitable for ages 3+.
Cost: £1 per child. No booking required.
Reigate summer festival
We are very pleased to be taking part in the Reigate Summer Festival once again this year. The Festival is a summer celebration of the town’s creative prowess, a weekend of mainly free entertainment for the local community, with events running at various venues across Reigate town centre from Friday 20 June to Sunday 22 June.
Storytelling with Helen sessions
- Friday 20 June, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
- Saturday 21 June, from 10.30am to 11.30am.
In these fun and interactive sessions, Storyteller Helen, will invite children to pick an object from her bag and together they will weave a tale about it. Where will your imagination take you?
Suitable for ages 3+. No need to book, just drop in.
East Surrey Textile Group workshop for children: Lucky Letters
Saturday 21 June, from 10am to 12 noon.
Suitable for ages 7-11. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants will learn how to stitch their initials on a cover for a notebook, with an emphasis on applique and simple embroidery.
Spaces to attend the workshop are strictly limited (10 spaces only). To book a slot please email reigate.library@surreycc.gov.uk to avoid disappointment.
Free entry but donations of £3 per child welcome to cover the costs of materials.
East Surrey Textile Group Workshop for adults: Floral Motifs
Saturday 21 June, from 2pm to 4pm.
This taster session will focus on textile embroidery, involving simple applique and embellishment with threads.
Spaces to attend the workshop are strictly limited (12 spaces only), therefore advanced booking is advised. Please email reigate.library@surreycc.gov.uk to book your place.
Free entry but donations of £5 per adult welcome to cover the costs of materials.
Displays
We will also feature displays from Holmesdale Natural History Club and Redhill Philatelic Society, showcasing local natural history and archaeological finds and historical photographs of Reigate.

Pebble rhymetime and storytime
Pebble rhymetime
Every Tuesday from 10.30am until 11am.
Booking necessary as there are limited spaces. Tickets are available from the library desk on the day, one ticket per family group. Places allocated on a first come first served basis. Please come early to avoid disappointment.
Stay and play session
From 11am on Tuesdays.
After Rhymetime why not stay and enjoy our stay and play session.

Storytime
Every Thursday at 11am.
Every first Thursday, this session is a special Sensory Storytime session, where we bring stories to life using our senses including sight, touch and smell.
No booking required, just come along.
Stay and play session
From 11.30am on Thursdays.
After Storytime why not stay and enjoy our stay and play session.
Reading groups
There are currently no reading groups taking place in the library.

Other events
Redhill Centre for Local and Family History research
First Saturday of the month from 2pm until 4pm.
While Redhill library is at its temporary location, our volunteers are available at Reigate library to help you use the resources and equipment.
