Temporary Redhill Library at Consort House from 22 April 2024
Due to the temporary closure of Redhill Library because of the presence of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) in the building, Redhill's temporary library service is now based at Consort House, Queensway, Redhill, RH1 1YB, a short 2 minute walk from the existing library.
Full opening hours have been resumed from Monday 22 April.
The Ground floor will be available to the public for browsing and the Lower Ground floor stock available by request.
The temporary library offers:
- The full range of books including New Titles, Bestsellers and promotions
- Public PC's, free Wi-Fi, photocopying and printing (from May onwards)
- Bus Passes and Blue Badge Applications
- Individual study spaces
- Comfortable seating and activities
- Dedicated children's library
- Events including regular Saturday and Wednesday Rhymetimes which will begin from Saturday 27 April at 10.30am, with an expansion to the events programme to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, Redhill library will remain closed until further notice to allow appropriate repairs for the building to be identified, but please be assured that we are working hard to resolve the situation and will provide further updates in due course. We are sorry for the ongoing disruption to your library service in Redhill.
