William Morris: Genius of Many Parts talk

Tuesday 9 June from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

An appreciation of one of Merton's great heroes, by John Hawks, Vice Chair of Wandle Heritage, Merton Priory Trust, and the Wandle Industrial Museum.

The talk is free, but donations are welcome!

Save lives' talk: Railway safety starts with you, know the risks

Thursday 20 August from 10.30am to 11.30am.

A talk given by Community Safety Manager, Nick Turner, from Network Rail, centred around railway safety, raising awareness of the dangers on and around the railway, and how to stay safe.

The talk is free, but donations are welcome!

Pebble rhymetime and storytime

Pebble rhymetime

  • Wednesdays, from 10am to 10.30am and from 11am to 11.30am.
  • Saturdays 10.30am to 11am.

All our Rhymetime sessions are ticketed. One ticket per family is available from the helpdesk when the library opens at 9.30am on the same day.

Storytime

Adult storytime

Sit back, relax, and listen to our librarians read a selection of short stories!

Monthly on Wednesdays from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Upcoming dates: 10 June

Free. No need to book.

There are currently no regular children's storytime sessions at this library.

Reading groups

  • Lit over Lunch: Second Monday of the month from 1pm to 2pm.
  • Tuesday Reading Group: second Tuesday of the month, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
  • Wednesday Reading Group: first Wednesday of the month, from 2pm to 3pm.

The Lit over Lunch reading group is seeking new members. Please speak to a member of staff in Redhill Library if you are interested in joining.

Other events

Stay and play

Mondays from 10.30am to 12 noon. Meet other families and enjoy a fun time with your under 5s playing with our toys.

This is a free event and all are welcome.

Redhill poets

Seeking connection and creativity through the power of poetry? Come along to our monthly poetry-writing group. Led by a local poet and suitable for all levels, whether you are well-versed or just curious to explore!

Every third Tuesday of the month, from 5.15pm to 6.45pm. Free. No need to book.

English conversation group

Every Thursday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

For adults with English as a second language. Practice your spoken English with a relaxed and friendly group. The group will be led by friendly and supportive facilitators.

Free. No need to book.

Coffee morning talk

First Thursday of the month, from 10.30 to 11.30am. Redhill Library's Coffee morning talk is a regular, monthly and free event.

Saturday craft club

The first Saturday of every month from 11.30am to 12.30pm.

A staff-led session with a new craft every month.

Suitable for ages 3+. Cost: £1.50 per child, per session. No booking necessary, just turn up.

Knit and Natter

Thursdays from 10.30am to 12 noon. Free of charge. Bring your current project to work on, relax, and have a chat with other crafters!

Redhill Centre for Local and Family History research

Digital Support Volunteer

Need some IT help? Come along and see one of our friendly and approachable Digital Support Volunteers.

Appointment slots can be booked at the library desk for the following sessions: Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 12 noon.
