Creating Sounds this Summer
The Summer Reading Challenge is back! Created by The Reading Agency and delivered by Surrey Libraries, this year the Challenge celebrates the Creative Arts whilst, of course, encouraging children to read throughout the summer holidays.
As part of this exciting summer, Surrey Libraries have partnered with Surrey Arts to offer free drop-in sessions for young people of all ages to try a variety of instruments and learn more about playing music in Surrey. Join us in creating a soundtrack for different characters and enjoy making noise at the library:
Tuesday 13 August from 10am until 12 noon
Visit Creating Sounds this Summer to see other available sessions.
Booking is not required for these free drop-in sessions. These events are suitable for young people of all ages; however, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Explore Learning Summer Reading Challenge workshop
Wednesday 14 August, from 10.30am to 11.30am.
This hour long workshop will take children on an adventure using their Maths and English skills to break codes, solve problems, create poetry and use their imagination.
Suitable for ages 5 to 11.
Event free but booking necessary. Book online or if unable to book online, please book in Oxted Library.

Meet up and catch up - Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey
Join Sight for Surrey with our new informal meet ups. Supporting people who are blind, vision impaired, deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing.
Session will be held monthly on Wednesdays between 10am to 12 noon. Upcoming dates:

Lego Club
Every Wednesday from 3.45pm until 4.30pm during term time.
Lego Club will take a break for the Summer and will be back in the Autumn, dates to be confirmed.

Build a story
Build a story will be taking a break for the summer but will back in the autumn.

Last Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12 noon.
Free of charge. Bring your own project to work on or just come for a chat!
Digital Buddy (Digital Support Volunteer)
Every Thursday from 10am and 1pm.
Do you want help using a computer, the internet, your iPad, tablet or iPhone, or other IT related problems?
Our Digital Support Volunteer is available to help you on, please book your appointment in the library or by emailing oxted.library@surreycc.gov.uk.
