National children's gardening week

Oxted are holding the following events in support of National Children's Gardening week.

Caterpillar crafternoon

Wednesday 29 May from 2.30pm to 4pm.

Suitable for 5 years old and over.

Cost: £1 per child. No need to book just drop in.

Active storytime

Thursday 30 May, from 10.30am to 11am.

Suitable for under fives. Free of charge. No need to book.

Baby massage

Tuesday 11 June at 10am.

Discover the benefits of baby massage in our free taster event or pop in and find out how baby massage can support you and your baby.

Event free. No need to book.

Author, Ruth D'Alessandro

Saturday 22 June, from 7pm to 8pm.

Come and meet local author, Ruth D'Alessandro, and celebrate the launch of her third book, "Calling Sergeant Crockford".

No cost but donations would be welcome.

Free parking in Tandridge District Car Park beside the library.

Clay workshop with Limpsfield Art Society

Saturday from 1pm to 3pm, two sessions (child must be able to attend both sessions), on the following dates:

  • 29 June
  • 6 July

Suitable for school Year 3 and above.

Cost: £5. Parent or suitable adult must stay with child throughout the event.

Great Big Green Week crafternoon

Saturday 15 June, from 2.30pm to 4pm

Suitable for ages 5+.

Cost: £1 per child. No need to book, just drop in.

Pebble rhymetime and storytime

Pebble rhymetime

Every Friday at 10.30am.

Spaces are limited, tickets are available in library on the day from 10am.

Other events

Meet up and catch up - Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey

Join Sight for Surrey with our new informal meet ups. Supporting people who are blind, vision impaired, deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing.

Session will be held:

  • monthly on Wednesdays between 10am to 12 noon. Upcoming dates:
    • 12 June
    • 10 July
    • 14 August
    • 11 Sept
    • 9 October
    • 13 November,
    • 11 December


Lego Club will run weekly on:

Wednesdays from 3.45pm until 4.30pm during term time.

First session is 17 April and the last session is 3 July. Please note there will be no session on 19 June.

Suitable for ages 4 years old and over. Cost: £1 per session.

Booking necessary: bookings open on Tuesday 2 April at 9.30am. You can book for half termly or book weekly, dependent on there being places available at the point of booking.

Build a story

Thursdays during school term times only, from 2.15pm until 2.30pm.

Storytime and DUPLO play.

Suitable for children aged under 5. No booking necessary. Sessions free.

Knit and natter

Last Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Free of charge. Bring your own project to work on or just come for a chat!

Digital Buddy (Digital Support Volunteer)

Every Thursday from 10am and 1pm.

Do you want help using a computer, the internet, your iPad, tablet or iPhone, or other IT related problems?
