Jubilee Events

Oxted library Jubilee art competition and exhibition

Oxted Library's Jubilee Art Competition for Young Artists, sponsored by Limpsfield Art Society.

The Competition is open to all young artists aged between 4 and 11 years, and there will be prizes for each category:

  • ages 4 to 7 years and
  • ages 8 to 11 years.

Entrants can produce a picture of anything they like for example: The Queen, her dogs, what the Jubilee means to them.

The closing date has now passed.

All the entries will be exhibited in Oxted library:

  • from 31 May until 14 June, to enable family and friends to see them.

Make and grow cress soldiers

  • Saturday 28 May from 2pm until 4pm. Cost: £1. Suitable for ages 4+. No booking required, just drop in.

Big Jubilee teddy Bears' picnic lunch

  • Wednesday 1 June from 12 noon until 1.30pm. Bring your own picnic lunch and enjoy our stories and songs.

Suitable for ages 6 and under. No booking required.

Make your own crown

  • Saturday 4 June from 2pm until 4pm. Cost: £1. Suitable for all ages. No booking required, just drop in.

Pebble rhymetime and storytime

Pebble rhymetime

  • Every Friday at 10.30am.

Spaces are limited, tickets are available in library on the day from 10am.

  • First Wednesday of the month from 2pm until 2.30pm. For children aged under 5 years.

Story Adventurers

  • Last Wednesday of the month from 4pm until 4.30pm. For children aged from 4 to 7 years.
