Book Fest
Friday 29 May, All day.
Celebrate a love of reading at Ewell Library's Book Fest! Join us for a day of exciting author talks, creative workshops, and fun activities.
Throughout the day, activities will be run by library staff, including blackout poetry, comic creation and badge making. More details to follow once details have been confirmed.
Second-hand book sale running all week, from Tuesday 26 May to Saturday 30 May.
Meet published authors: Michael Parkin, Sam Stewart, Zehra Hicks, Sara Barnard.
The timings for the author events are as follows:
- 10am, Michael Parkin: Story & Craft. Suitable for ages 2 to 4.
- 11am, Sam Stewart: Creating Characters, Creative Writing, book talk and workshop. Suitable for ages 8 to 14.
- 1pm, Zehra Hicks: Squiggle, Swirl, Create, story and drawing. Suitable for ages 8 to 14.
- 2pm, Sara Barnard: Telling Teen Stories. Suitable for ages 12+.
All author events priced at £3 per child. Booking necessary.

Chesney Jennings
Saturday 13 June at 11.30am.
Author talk and workshop by author Chesney Jennings.
Suitable for ages 7 to11.

Death cafe
Friday 3 July 10am to 11am.
Facilitated by the Brigitte Trust, this cafe provides the opportunity to talk about death and grief in an open, inclusive and non judgmental environment.

Pebble rhymetime and storytime
Pebble rhymetime
Every Thursday:
- 10am to 10.30am and
- 10.45am to 11.15am.
Limited numbers, places allocated on a first come first served basis. Tickets available from the library desk on the day. Please come early to avoid disappointment.

Storytime
Every Wednesday from 10.30am until 11am.
Storytime with colouring. Numbers are limited, first come first served. Please ask at the library desk.
Adult storytime
Second Wednesday of the month, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
Short stories for grown-ups (parents with young children are welcome to attend).
Free session, no need to book.

Reading groups
Bourne Hall Booksters' reading group
First Tuesday of the month at 2pm

Other events
Scratch coding course for kids
Tuesdays 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Next sessions: check with the library.
Suitable for ages 7 to 12 years. Learn how to make animations, website design and games.
Cost: £3 per child.

Stay and Play
Every Wednesday, from 10am to 12 noon (term time only).
Make friends, share books and play with toys. Join in with Storytime at 10.30am. It is a great way to take part in the National Year of Reading!
Please be aware that Stay and Play is an opportunity for children and adults to engage with each other, and so the session will be unstaffed except during Storytime.
Suitable for under 5s.
The reading squad
Every Friday, from 3.30pm to 4pm (term time only).
Join us for stories, colouring and more.
Suitable for ages 7 to 10.
Event free. No need to book, just turn up.
Ewell library social circle
Every Friday from 10am to 12pm.
Come and play games, do a jigsaw or just have a natter. Bring your friends or come by yourself.
Free session, no need to book.
Crafternoon
Every Friday, from 2pm to 4pm.
Craft, chat, connect. Bring your own project, we will bring the company.
No materials provided, just community spirit.
Crazy crafts club
Every Saturday at 11am to 11.45am.
Tickets are £1.50 per child. Suitable for 3 years old and over, must be accompanied by an adult.
Chess club
Every Saturday, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Drop in and play.
Lego club
Third Saturday of the month, from 1pm to 2pm.
Complete challenges and build fun Lego creations.
Suitable for ages 3+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: £1.50 per child.
All ages welcome.

Teen book and music club
Every other Saturday from 2pm to 3pm. Upcoming dates:

Recommended for ages 14 to 18.
The club is free and no need to book.
