Storytime for adults
Leatherhead Library will be holding Stories for Adults on:

Listen with Leatherhead Library. Are you sitting comfortably? Let us tell you a tale or two...
We will be reading a mixture of stories and poetry, join us for a relaxing afternoon, refreshments available.
Frances Burney in Surrey
Surrey Libraries and Surrey Heritage are delighted to announce a series of events based on the life and works of the author Frances "Fanny" Burney, in partnership with Professor Francesca Saggini from the University of Tuscia, in Italy.

The Face that launched 1000 Books: Sleuthing in Surrey with Frances Burney
- Thursday 2 February, from 7.30pm until 8.30pm
A talk about the Surrey author Fanny Burney and the rise of the author portrait in fiction. Delivered by Francesca Saggini.
Booking necessary: Tickets cost £5.

Dinosaur Craft and Storytime
2pm to 3.30pm on the following dates:

The half term events above are all free and there is no need to book. Come along and join in the fun.
Creative writing for teens with Lisa Williamson
- Saturday 18 February from 2pm until 3pm
Suitable for young people aged 11-17 years old.
Best-selling young adult author, Lisa Williamson will be talking about her journey to becoming a writer and the inspiration behind some of her titles. She will also be leading a creative writing activity.

Pebble rhymetime and storytime
Pebble rhymetime
- Starting Thursday 2 February, two sessions:
- 10.30 to 11am
- 11.30 to 12 noon
- Every Saturday at 11am.
Rhymetime events will be ticketed, available at the counter before each session, on a first come, first served basis.

Storytime
There are currently no regular Storytime's at Leatherhead. The library will be holding special Storytime's with craft on occasion. Look out for these under Special events above.

Reading groups
Leatherhead library reading group
- the last Wednesday of the month at 2pm
The Mansion reading group
- the 3rd Thursday of the month from 2pm until 3.30pm
If anyone is interested in joining either group, please email leatherhead.library@surreycc.gov.uk and we will see if there are any spaces.

Retro games
Retro games sessions are back by popular demand.
- All day Friday and Saturday, during regular opening hours.
Code club
- Saturdays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. spaces are limited so please book. Book in the library.
Free event and suitable for ages 6+.
Dungeons and Dragon sessions
Coming in 2023. Spaces will be limited. More details to follow.
Knit and Natter group
- every Tuesday from 2.30pm until 4pm
Refreshments are available. Everyone is welcome regardless of their ability.
Sewing group
- Second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 3pm until 4pm.
Refreshments are available.
Diabetes UK Type 2 Peer Support Group
The Surrey Downs Type 2 Diabetes support group will be meeting on:
- the following Tuesdays from 2.30pm until 4.00pm
