Become a volunteer mentor in Surrey
Mentors spend an hour each week listening to and encouraging a young person in their school. The relationship that develops is what makes the difference. Can you help a young person to build their confidence and discover their potential?
Come to this in-person presentation followed by a question and answer session run by MCR Pathways.
- Wednesday 13 December from 10am to 12 noon
For more information please visit the MCR Pathways website.
Interactive session with author Jenny Sanders
- Thursday 14 December from 3.15pm to 4.30pm and
- Friday 15 December from 3.15pm to 4.30pm
Join us at Banstead Library for this fun session with Jenny Sanders.
Jenny Sanders' books are: The Magnificent Moustache and other stories and Charlie Peach's Pumpkins and other stories. The session will engage the children by using their own imaginations to guess what happens next, as she reads the one of the stories from her first collection. This story includes a National Moustache competition, and children can 'take part' by choosing their own stick-on moustache should they wish (carers and allergies permitting). Then you can ask Jenny any questions about her books. Time will be given for Q & A as appropriate. Signed copies of both collections will be available to buy (cash or card) which Jenny will be happy to sign.
The event is suitable for children aged 7 to 11 year olds.
Copies of Jenny's books will be available for purchase, cash and card sales available.
Event is free but booking necessary. Please book online or if unable to book online, book in Banstead Library.
