Half Term events
Half term craft
Wednesday 27 May at 10.30am.
Do your little ones enjoy being creative? If yes, come along to Sunbury library for colouring, cutting, sticking and gluing. Suitable for ages 4 to 11. Cost: £1 per child. An adult must stay with the child at all times.
Explore Learning workshop
Wednesday 27 May, from 1pm to 2pm.
A Squire's Journey Workshop. A fun and engaging way to help with grammar.
Suitable for ages 5 to 7.
Event free but booking necessary. Telephone Explore Learning, 01932 252033, to book your place.
Movement with music
Thursday 28 May at 10am.
An ocean-themed event, incorporating elements of water safety alongside movement and music.
Suitable for ages 3 to 7.
Event free, just book your place at the Library Helpdesk.
Escalate arts
Escalate Arts Spelthorne is an Arts Council England funded initiative, designed to transform how people work, design, enjoy and participate in the arts in Spelthorne. The project has been developed in partnership between Surrey County Council, Spelthorne Borough Council, Artswork and Ashford Youth Club. Reading groups
Bookworms reading group
Meet every six weeks on Tuesdays from 10.30am until 11.30am.
Please note: this group is currently full.
Next meeting: 26 May. Currently Reading: The Perfect Golden Circle by Benjamin Myers.
There is a fee of 50p each per meeting.
Bookmarks reading group
Meet every six weeks on Thursdays from 2.30pm. Starting on 28 May.
The first meeting will consist of discussing the book world, and taking a book home to read over the next six weeks.
We have a few places left in our new 'Bookmarks' reading group. If you are interested in joining this new group, please ask staff at the help desk.

Last Saturday of the Month from 10.30am until 12.30pm.
Your local councillor will hold regular drop in sessions.

Citizens Advice Bureau (telephone and online service only)
We offer an online chat with a Citizen's Advice online advisor or visit our website Citizens Advice Runnymede and Spelthorne for details of our drop in service to come and speak to a citizen's advice adviser in person, no appointment necessary.
The Citizens Advice free Adviceline is available Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm on 0808 250 5706.
The consumer helpline is available on 0808 223 1133.
Shelter is running a free housing law helpline on 0808 800 4444 and also have an online chat.
Food bank vouchers can be arranged by calling 808 250 5706 (option 2).
Digital Support Volunteer
- Every Wednesday from 10am to 4pm
- Every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm
- Every Saturday from 2pm to 4pm
For help using your computer or laptop you can book a session with our Digital Support Volunteer.
Sessions must be booked in advance by emailing sunbury.library@surreycc.gov.uk or in person at the library.
