Rhymetime and storytime
Rhymetime
- Every Friday from 10.30 to 11am.
This is a wonderful time to bring your toddler to the library, whether you are a parent, grandparent or carer. Together you can enjoy nursery rhymes and songs and meet other parents and carers.

Reading groups
Book group
- First Wednesday of every month, from 5.30pm until 6.30pm.
Come along and join in an informal chat about a variety of books that we have all read.
Teen book group
- Next meeting: date and time to follow.
Do you like reading, Whether that is a yes or a no, it's so much harder to get into when you're a teenager. Come along to read together, have snacks and discuss other things!
Suitable for ages 12 to 18.

Other events
Coffee shop, book & brew
- Available during regular opening hours
We are open for 'beans to cup' coffee, a selection of teas, juice and snacks.
Tuesday coffee morning
- Every Tuesday from 10.30am until 12 noon
All are welcome to come along for a chat over a cuppa and biscuit or cake.
Knit & Natter
- Every Thursday from 10.15am until 12 noon.
Suitable for all ages. No booking necessary, just turn up.
Meets in person with our expert knitter, Sue, every Thursday morning. If you are busy then, but love to knit please see the Knit-a-long details below.
Knit-a-long, a new online knitting project
A new knitting project started early March and there is still time to join the group of 14 knitters to knit a mystery garment.
Sue Stevens leads the group and will advise you on what materials to buy. Please contact her on sue4664stevens@gmail.com.
Scrabble afternoon
- every second and fourth Friday of the month, from 2pm until 4pm.
All are welcome to join.
Children's craft
An opportunity to get creative at our library. Our Crafty team provide inspiration and materials for your child to try out and make something to take home.
- Every second Saturday of the month, from 10.30am until 12.30am
Suitable for children aged from 3 to 9 years. Cost: donation of £1 per child, per session.
No advance booking, just turn up on the day, though numbers may need to be managed.
