Pebble rhymetime and storytime

Pebble rhymetime

Note: This event is not ticketed, please turn up at the given times below.

Come along and join Pebble the penguin to make some music and sing some rhymes. An ideal opportunity for dads, or the whole family, to join in the fun.

  • Every Monday, from 10.30am to 11am.
  • Every Wednesday, from 10.30am to 11am.
  • Every Thursday, from 10.30am to 11am.
  • Every Saturday, from 10.30am to 11am.

Adult reading group

Staines now has a reading group! Please ask in the library for further details and about joining,

  • The last Tuesday of every month, from 5pm.

Councillor surgeries

Councillor Sinead Mooney will be holding a County Councillor Surgery at Staines Library on:

  • Last Saturday of each month, between 11am and 1pm.

Liberal Democrat consultation surgery with Councillor Chris Bateson and Nicola Corness.

  • First Saturday of Month, between 10.30am and 1pm.

Chess Club

  • Every Saturday, from 2pm to 3.30pm.

Please note: This club is currently fully booked. Please speak to a member of staff in branch if you would like to add your child to our waiting list.

Knit and natter group

Note: There is a £1 fee per session to cover refreshments. If you are interested in joining the group please talk to library staff.

The group offers a chance to relax in the library with some knitting or needlework, meet new people and have a natter over a cuppa!

  • Alternate Wednesdays from 2pm to 4pm in the community seating area. Please ask in the library for more information.

Digital Buddy

Would you like help using computers and the internet? Make an appointment with our Digital Buddy who can offer free, one to one, support.
