The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom. This site lets you search its catalogue of over 12 million items.

Library Hub Discover
The Library Hub Discover website provides free access to the online catalogues of major university research libraries in the UK and Ireland, plus the British Library and the National Library of Scotland.

The Library of Congress
The website of the Library of Congress, the national library of the USA.

The M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries
This website gives simultaneous access to over 150 college and university catalogues in the London area.

Royal National Institute for the Blind library catalogue
The RNIB library catalogue gives you access to over 170,000 items available for loan and/or sale in audio, large or giant print, braille and Moon.

WorldCat is an online catalogue covering 10,000 libraries worldwide. The libraries listed are predominantly American. In the UK WorldCat can be useful for tracing book titles and journal articles.
