Public Bridleway 102 (Thursley)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 16 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit equestrian traffic from entering or proceeding along Public Bridleway 102 (Thursley) from its junction with public bridleway 590 (Grid Reference 490116, 139820) northwest for 280 metres. Pedestrians and cyclists may proceed with caution. Access to properties will not be affected by the Order.

The Order is necessary for public safety due to erosion of the path surface. The closure will be in operation from 29 November 2023 until 29 May 2024 or until repair works are completed, whichever is sooner. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf.

There is no suggested alternative route.

The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 102 (Thursley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023 was made by the County Council under Sections 14(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
