Dawn chorus experience at Sheepleas
Join wildlife guide Susy Dixon-Jones to tune into nature's best loved aural spectacle - the dawn chorus. Immerse yourself in the songs and calls of the birds around you, learning how to identify the many species found at Sheepleas. Susy will guide you through all the sounds you hear, bringing a new dimension to your walks in the woods, unlocking a whole new world of nature knowledge.

Volunteer at Tice's Meadow
Come and join our rangers and volunteer at Tice's Meadow near Farnham. Tasks might include; clearing vegetation, maintaining paths, fence and gate repairs, habitat management, wildlife surveys and more.
We have volunteer sessions running on the following dates:
- Date: Friday 23 May
- Place: Tice's Meadow. Please meet at Horton's Mound which is shown on our interpretation boards around the site.
- Time: 10am to 2pm

Countryside visitor survey engagement events
We have had to cancel the events on Sunday 25 May at Shere Woodlands and Wednesday 28 May at Norbury Park. However, if you would like to speak to the team about the visitor survey, please email – countryside.estate@surreycc.gov.uk.

Heathland Hounds Pop-Up at Whitmoor Common
Come down and say 'hi' to our friends from Heathland Hounds at their next pop-up at Whitmoor Common, Worplesdon. A great opportunity to find out more about the precious heathland habitiat on Worplesdon Commons and understand more about the importance of protecting the rare ground nesting birds by keeping dogs under control and paws on paths.

This leisurely walk will take you through the stunning nature reserve where you will explore the different habitats and ecology and discover the enormous variety of rare, interesting plant life.

Spectacular bats experience at Sheepleas
Join wildlife guide Susy Dixon-Jones for an immersive and informative bat watching experience at Sheepleas. You’ll learn how to use a bat detector to tune into the unique sounds of different bat species, and even discover how to tell them apart by flight pattern! We’ll marvel at Pipistrelles hawking and long eared bats hovering along the hedgerows, and big noctule and serotine bats fluttering high over the trees. This is a truly atmospheric and fascinating wildlife watching experience.
