Nature friendly dog walks

Join Elmbridge Borough Council's Countryside Ranger Susy on a free friendly group walk with other dog owners and walkers around local countryside sites to learn more about the wildlife and habitats on local commons.

Spring wildflower foray at Sheepleas

Join wildlife guide Susy Dixon-Jones of Hidden Worlds Wildlife Guiding for a Springtime tour of the Sheepleas local nature reserve. You will learn to identify many wildflower and tree species and understand the role they play in our ecosystem. This gentle, slow-paced walking tour will last approximately two hours and there will be plenty of opportunity to stop and take in the sights and sounds of this stunning landscape.

With bird nesting season underway, the woods and heaths come alive with birdsong. On this gentle 2.5 mile walk, Susy will help you identify birds by song and call for a greater insight into the natural world.

Bat watching and discovery tour

Discover bats at Sheepleas! Learn how to use a simple bat detector, to tune into their echolocation calls and identify different bat species. On our 1.5 mile walk we'll watch bats at dusk and study their unique flight pattern along with learning all about these mystical creatures.
