Footpath number 61 (Send)
Public Path Diversion Order 2023

The above order, made on 9 May 2023 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will, if confirmed, divert Footpath 61(Send) running from the steps to the footbridge over the River Wey (Grid Ref. 501578 154574) in an easterly turning to south easterly direction for 116 metres to Grid reference 501688 154544 to a line running from the same point in an easterly direction for 40 metres turning to a south easterly direction for 68 metres then in a north easterly direction for 20 metres to Grid reference 501688 154544. The footpath to have a width of 2 metres throughout.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen by appointment free of charge at Countryside Access, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford, GU4 7BQ (by appointment only - telephone 0300 200 1003) and Guildford Borough Council Offices, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford GU2 4BB during normal office hours and at Woking Library, Gloucester Walk, Woking GU21 6EP during opening hours. A copy of the Order and map may be purchased from the County Council at a cost of £4.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing, quoting reference AW/3/1/65, to Countryside Access, Surrey County Council, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ, or by email to rightsofway@surreycc.gov.uk, by 16 June 2023. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Surrey County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations, which have not been withdrawn, will be sent with the Order.
