Notice

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)
The Surrey County Council
Public Footpath number 11 (Chelsham and Farleigh)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 11 (Chelsham and Farleigh) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022 was made by reason of danger to the public due to works taking place adjacent to the path.

The Order came into operation on 21 November 2022 and was due to expire on 20 May 2023. It was continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 20 November 2023. It has now been extended for a second time due to delays in the completion of works, until 20 May 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is earlier.

The Order as continued will have the effect of prohibiting all traffic on foot or any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Footpath 11 (Chelsham and Farleigh) from its junction with Washpond Lane (Grid ref. 538705 158259) to its junction with Footpath 12 for a distance of approximately 420 metres.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no recommended alternative route.
