The summer of loving learning!
Surrey Adult Learning was delighted to participate in the Surrey Artists Open Studios to celebrate arts and crafts during the summer exhibition 2023.
This summer term Surrey Adult Learning participated in the Surrey Artists Open studios (SAOS) annual event. The Harvey Gallery at the Guildford Centre showcased artwork from our community.
This year, the Surrey Artist Open Studios ( SAOS) event ran from 3-18 June 2023 at many venues across Surrey showcasing the diversity and creativity of talented, local artists. SAOS delighted residents with a collection of 16 days of unique local art, featuring more than 300 remarkable artists across 173 studios including The Harvey Gallery by Surrey Adult Learning.
The Harvey Gallery that is situated at the Guildford Centre, opened its doors for public viewing on three weekends from Saturday 3 June until Saturday 17 June 2023. Visitors could admire the extraordinary range of talent from people in our learning community. We scheduled free 'have a go' taster workshops on the 10 June 2023 with our skilled tutors, encouraging adults to get together and learn something new, whilst enjoying arts and crafts and having fun.
Our adult learning courses or workshops can offer you unrivalled learning experiences led by expert tutors, who are practising artists and makers, in beautiful classroom settings.
This exhibition showcased work by our learners including our supported learners, our Outreach projects as well as our Passport to Wellbeing groups. We are an inclusive organisation with community engagement at the core of our work.
For further information on our adult learning courses, please browse online, call us on 0300 200 1044, or visit us in person at any of our seven dedicated centres.
