Sculpture- Build a Small Figure Using Wax and an Armature Workshop [SSK]

Course intent

You will learn how to build a small figure (18cm tall) in wax over an armature.

Enjoy the well-being benefits gained through working in a friendly, creative learning environment.

What will we cover?

• Creating an armature

• How to sculpt using wax
• Using tools and equipment safely
• The importance of a clean and tidy studio

There will be demonstrations, instruction, one-to-one tutorial guidance.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

For Beginners and Improvers. Any learner with medical conditions or allergies should inform the tutor to check if there is any risk.

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

• wear clothes for messy work

• a sketch pad & pencil
• all sculpting materials will be provided
• a packed lunch and drink

  What can I do when I finish the course?

  Learners can progress onto other Arts & Crafts courses with SAL, such as a longer sculpture course with this tutor in the Autumn term (Tuesday evenings or Thursday day).
