Cookery Workshop - French Breadmaking

Course intent

Making homemade bread is a great everyday skill and a party piece that impresses!

What will we cover?

This 3.5-hour workshop will introduce you to the basic recipes and techniques for making delicious homemade teatime breads and give you the confidence to experiment further with breadmaking in your own kitchen. You will concentrate on the techniques of preparing the dough and baking three breads – Brioche, Rustic Country Pain de Campagne and Pain au Son

Note from Tutor “I will be giving hints & tips for toppings and star ingredients that will compliment your breads. See you at the workshop”

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This workshop is suitable for all abilities and dietary requirements. You will be required to meet specific hygiene and safety requirements, including frequent handwashing, and cleaning your own workstation and equipment during the workshop

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You will receive a workbook, informing you of the ingredients and equipment you will need to bring with you. This will also include aprons, oven-gloves, and tea-towels. It is important to wear clothes and footwear suitable for a busy, hot kitchen. Face coverings are optional. If you wish to wear latex/nitrile gloves, you will need to provide these yourself as the centre does not supply them.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING CONTAINERS TO TAKE YOUR BREADS HOME
