Qi Gong, Tai Chi & Ba Gua Circle Walking Meditation

Course intent

Chi Gung (Qi gong) and Ba Gua teach people how they can help themselves to heal, gain personal power, attain physical relaxation, and develop awareness and peace within themselves using body movement and the mind.

  • Ba Gua could be described as walking Tai Chi which involves walking in a circle. Originally developed in China as a form of moving meditation, it has been practiced there for thousands of years for health maintenance as well, which is our focus.
  • Chi Gung involves work with the finer energies of the body. This is achieved by means of movement, standing, stretching, and softening, the regulation of breath and many other methods designed to enhance health & well-being.

    What will we cover?

You will learn a variety of exercises to develop balance, body awareness and mental focus to prepare you for learning and using personal chi. Exercises are repeated frequently to consolidate learning and improve your practical abilities.

Our courses build learning, week by week to develop your skills, understanding and abilities, and may involve working in pairs. You will find you make the most progress if you practice between sessions.
