Jewellery & Silverwork - Make a Silver Chain Bracelet

Course intent

Chain making is an essential skill for any jewellery maker. Learn how to form, assemble and polish a silver link chain with a bar and toggle clasp. At the end of the workshop, you will have a finished bracelet to take home.

during this one day workshop. All abilities welcome.

What will we cover?

Forming, filing, soldering, basic clasp making (bar & toggle), finishing and polishing.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

Suitable for all skill sets.The workshop involves wire working so will require a good level of hand strength.

For adults aged 18 years or older.

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Materials and tools provided. You will need to bring an apron or wear old clothes. You will also be required to tie long hair back and wear closed toe shoes for health and safety reasons.

What can I do when I finish the course?

In discussion with your tutor you may like to progress onto our Jewellery and Silverwork course or enhance your learning on one of our Summer Jewellery workshops.
