Just Drawing - Beginners

Course intent

Just Drawing will introduce you to drawing by teaching you all the basic skills you need to get started and showing and explaining how to use different drawing materials. Build up your confidence in this welcoming and friendly class.

What will we cover?

Each week, step by step you will learn about how to use different drawing materials, starting with pencil. You will learn how to use shading to make your drawing look more realistic and over the weeks, be shown by the tutor how to use tone, line, texture, perspective and composition in your drawings. This is a friendly and welcoming class, with good one to one support from your tutor.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for complete beginners with little or no experience of drawing or who last drew at school and want to start from scratch learning about materials and techniques. This course is also ideal for those wishing to learn how to draw so that they can feel confident about enrolling on other courses that require drawing skills.
