Learn the skills and techniques to make beautifully presented hand-tied bouquets. You will learn to make wedding or ceremony flowers and seasonal themed arrangements.

Discover how the right materials and seasonal flowers matter. Learn how to condition your flowers to get the most from your design.

The gardening courses and one-day workshops track your seasonal planting. They help you get the best out of your garden all year round.

Our courses run over a period of weeks for a term. We have three terms in the year from September to July plus short courses at the start of summer. We also offer more specific one-day workshops throughout the year.

Enrolments open every term in March, July and November. If courses have already started you may still be able to join so please contact us.

Course levels

We have courses for all abilities. Learn about flowers, foliage and accessories. Discover some of the secrets of professional florists. Find out how to create a variety of seasonal flower arrangements and hand tied designs. Including both contemporary and traditional themes.

Whether you are a beginner or have some flower arranging experience, you will learn the knowledge and skills to make beautiful designs.

Saturday and one day workshops

These workshops run on a Saturday and are suitable for beginners and improvers. No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a love of flowers. We will send out a list of materials before the start date. You will need to buy or bring your own flowers, foliage, and materials on the day.

Discounts and support with fees

We have many discounts and fee support options. These include money off your first course if you are a library member, Surrey Heritage user, or over 66.

We include a small charge in the fees. It covers the cost of materials used by tutors for demonstrations. The fee does not include the cost of materials and equipment used by learners, unless stated otherwise. If you have any questions, please ask when enrolling. We advise you not to buy extra materials for a course until your enrolment is confirmed.
