Public Footpath 121 (Farnham) Temporary Closure Order 2022

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)
The Surrey County Council
Public Footpath 121 (Farnham)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

On 24 February 2022, Surrey County Council will make the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 121 (Farnham) at Runfold Quarry, commencing approximately 160m south of the junction with Guildford Road (Grid Ref: 486341, 147360) in a southerly, then generally south-westerly direction for approximately 500 metres.

The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to restoration works taking place at Runfold Quarry on or near the footpath. The closure will be in operation from 28 February 2022 for a period of 6 months, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

An alternative route around the closure will be provided and will be indicated on site.

Dated: 17 February 2022
