Public Footpath 102 (Woking)

Notice

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) & (2)
The Surrey County Council
Public Footpath 102 (Woking)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 13 December 2023 Surrey County Council made a temporary order to prohibit all traffic on foot or any other means from entering or proceeding along the length of Public Footpath 102 (Woking), from its junction with Footpath 103 (Woking) (Grid reference 498090 157357) south across the footbridge for 50 metres, to its junction with Footpaths 27 and 412 (Woking), as indicated by a solid black line on plan no. 3/1/79/H72.

The Order is necessary by reason of danger to the public due to structural damage to the footbridge crossing the railway. It will be in operation from 13 December 2023 until 13 June 2024 or until completion of any remedial works, if earlier, and while the relevant notices are displayed. The Secretary of State for Transport can extend that period if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no suggested alternate route.

The 'Surrey County Council Public Footpath 102 (Woking) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023' was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

DATED: 14 December 2023

Executive Director - Environment, Infrastructure & Growth
