This matter was considered by Reigate and Banstead Local Committee at 2pm on 2 December 2019. A full copy of the report is available on the Committee webpage. Members agreed with the Officer's recommendation to make a map modification order to add public footpath 637 (Reigate) to the Definitive Map and Statement for Surrey.
Order making
A Map Modification Order was made on 20 February 2020 and advertised on 27 February 2020. The order is titled "The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 637 (Reigate) Definitive Map Modification Order 2020. One objection was received to the Order. The Order and supporting documents have been referred to the Secretary of State for determination.
Determination by the Secretary of State
An Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State to determine the Order. The start date for this process is 12 January 2024. Consideration of the Order will take the form of exchanges of statements of case and comments on statements of case. More information about this process will be published by the Planning Inspectorate on their webpage.
