Flower Arranging - Beautiful summer table arrangements - All Abilities [SSK]

Course intent

During this workshop, you will learn how to create a beautiful Summer themed table arrangement for your home or event. You will learn useful tips on flower care and feel confident to make table arrangements in your own time.

What will we cover?

You will learn:

How to prepare flowers and foliage.

How to create a freestanding framework.

How to care for your arrangement.

Use tools and equipment safely.

Subject specific terminology.

The importance of a clean and tidy studio.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is suitable for all levels of ability. No previous experience is necessary it is suitable for both beginners and for those wishing to refine their technical and design skills in a friendly, soothing, focused class.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Equipment:

Scissors

Bucket for flowers

Plastic sheet or cloth to work on

Small knife

Notebook and pen

Box to take home finished designs.

Closed toe shoes and apron.

Materials:

You will need to provide your own flowers.

What can I do when I finish the course?

Learners can progress onto other Arts & Crafts courses with SAL: your tutor, Azar Afshari offers classes in Flower Arranging and Gardening during term time in both Esher and Molesey and runs occasional Saturday workshops.
