Course intent

This course will empower you to secure your desired job by providing a comprehensive course that equips you with the necessary skills and strategies for successful interviews. Through this course, you will learn how to effectively prepare for and confidently present yourself during both online and face-to-face interviews. You will receive guidance on managing nervousness, portraying yourself positively through non-verbal communication, recalling relevant interview questions, and answering them effectively. Additionally, participants will gain insights into the platforms used for online interviews and discover post-interview follow-up techniques. By completing this course, you will be well-equipped to excel in interviews and increase your chances of securing your dream job.

You will be attending 2 x 120-minute sessions. These classes will be real time online session via Zoom.

  • Prepare for online interviews and discuss platforms used
  • Learn positive non-verbal communication for an interview
  • Learn techniques to manage nerves during an interview
  • Find out how to follow up after an interview
  • Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

For courses of more than one session, you will find you make the most progress if you attend every taught lesson and complete any self-directed study opportunities provided.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for learners who have recently been made unemployed and would like some help to prepare for interviews.

This course will be delivered through live online sessions using Zoom.

To fully participate in this course, you will need:

  • A prepared cover letter
  • An email address
  • A reliable internet connection
  • A computer/laptop /tablet with a fully updated browser
  • microphone and webcam.

Once enrolled on this course you will receive detailed instructions for taking part online.

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You will need access to a computer/laptop/tablet with a reliable internet connection, working microphone, and webcam. If you struggle to read printed text on a screen, you may find it beneficial to have access to a printer to make your own hard copies of resources.

This is a live, interactive course and you will need to log on at the given time to access the course.
