Cookery Workshop - Summer Breads

Course intent

Making homemade bread is a great everyday skill and a party piece that impresses!

What will we cover?

This workshop will introduce you to the basic recipes and techniques for making delicious homemade summer breads and give you the confidence to experiment further with breadmaking in your own kitchen.

You will concentrate on the techniques of preparing the dough and baking three breads perfect for picnics and barbecues: Focaccia, Flat Breads, and classic French Baguettes

Depending on time and warmth in the cookery room - if needed, your focaccia’s can continue to prove for you to bake at home

Note from Tutor “I will be giving hints & tips for toppings and star ingredients that will compliment your breads. See you at the workshop”

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This workshop is suitable for those wanting to build onto their basic bread making knowledge. It is suitable for all dietary requirements. You will be required to meet specific hygiene and safety requirements, including frequent handwashing, and cleaning your own workstation and equipment during the workshop. This workshop is taught in English.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You will receive an email before the start of the course, informing you of the key ingredients and resources you will need. It is important to wear clothes and footwear suitable for a busy, hot kitchen. Face coverings are optional.
