Cookery - Food for the Weekend (Online)

Course intent

Get ready for the weekend with this practical course covering a range of cooking skills, to enable you to create delicious meals for your family and friends.

Throughout the course you will prepare a wide range of exciting recipes suitable for both formal and informal entertaining.

We aim for this to be a sociable and enjoyable cookery class, ideal for anyone who enjoys trying new recipes and ingredients.

What will we cover?

This course intends to provide you with the skills and knowledge to prepare savoury main dishes, hot & cold starters, a variety of side dishes and hot & cold desserts. During the course you will watch demonstrations and with tutor support you will recreate those dishes in the classroom, box them and take them home to enjoy. Our courses build on past learning. The first sessions set the foundational skills which are built on each week. Our tutor intends to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to recreate these recipes as well as the ability to reproduce other dishes of your choice well after this course has finished.

You will find you make the most progress if you attend every lesson and complete any self-directed study opportunities provided.
