Family Learning - Help your Child Manage Anxiety Workshop

What will I learn?

This is a one week 2 hour FREE online workshop where you will work with the tutor and other parents and carers.

  • Increase my understanding of my child’s anxiety
  • Learn new ways to help them to manage it
  • Is this course for me?

    This course is suitable for parents, carers and grandparents who live in Surrey and want to help their child aged 5-11 to manage their anxiety.

    Intent

    You will develop your skills and knowledge to help you to be more active in the support of your child’s anxiety. This will positively impact on your family wellbeing.

    What do I need to do?

    • Have your camera on

    • Provide a mobile phone number and email address when you enrol so that we can contact you about your course.
    • Please attend all sessions
    • A reliable internet connection
    • A computer/laptop/tablet or phone with a fully updated browser (preferably Google Chrome), microphone and camera
    • A pen and paper
    • Check your email for detailed joining instructions two days before course starts.
    • Fill out `Tell us what you think` form
    • Contact us on family.learning@surreycc.gov.uk if you have any questions
    • What could I do next?

      We offer a 3 week Help your Child Manage Anxiety you can progress to.

      At the end of this course we will give you details of what you can move on to next, for example volunteering, further courses with Surrey Adult Learning, a college or employment.

      How to enrol

      Our courses are for adult learners aged 19 or over. If you are under 19, please call 0300 200 1044.
