Course intent
The course will establish a range of methods of improving your drawing & painting through the use of sketchbook, photographs, researched images or direct observation
What will we cover?
• Develop individual skills in tone, colour and composition
- Researching & inspiring other artists work
- Gaining confidence in using both drawing and painting materials
- Have access to one to one support
- The overall aim is to help you discover and develop your abilities through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration techniques
Where this course consists of more than one session you will find you make the most progress if you attend every taught lesson and complete any self-directed study opportunities provided
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This course is specifically for those with some experience of painting (1 term or more), but new learners with some past knowledge and experience of the subject are also welcome.
For adults aged 18 years or older.
As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
Bring whatever drawing & painting materials you may already have purchased, or a pad of A3 cartridge paper, soft grade of pencils (4B or 6B), soft rubber and/or a graphite stick for the first session.
Specific materials and resources you will need through the course will be discussed at induction.
