Introduction to Life Coaching Skills

Course intent

In this course, you will be introduced to the theory and practice of Life coaching and have the opportunity to learn and apply some basic Life Coaching skills. These are useful for self-development and working with others both personally and professionally.

In this course, we will cover:

  • What is Life Coaching and how it differs from counselling.
  • Ethical issues in coaching practice.
  • Introduction to positive psychology as the foundation of life coaching.
  • Flourishing and living with purpose as key concepts.
  • Life Coaching tools and skills to help achieve goals.
  • Application of Life Coaching to life's challenges.
  • Healthy Lifestyles.
  • Coaching through the lifespan.
  • How people learn and change.

Our experienced tutors will guide you through your learning with information, group discussion, and the opportunity to practice skills in pairs and small groups

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for anyone who is interested in maximising wellbeing and achieving life goals for both themself and others in a variety of settings.

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

It would be useful to bring a notepad and pen for making notes during lessons.

What can I do when I finish the course?

By the end of the course, you will have developed your knowledge and built the confidence to apply your new skills in your own life, whether in a work or personal environment.
