Over 35 years of local countryside management in action
The Lower Mole Partnership comprises boroughs, districts and other organisations and has been in existence since 1983. It was the first countryside management project to be established in the north Surrey area.
The Partnership has built up a large and enthusiastic, dedicated volunteer group which carries out a wide range of practical conservation tasks to implement improvements to the local countryside, 3 days a week (Tues, Weds, Thurs), whatever the weather, throughout the year.
The Partnership has a high standard and broad spectrum of skills for carrying out targeted specialist local countryside management work including landscape enhancements, woodland management and pond restoration as well as access initiatives such as the Thames Down Link footpath. In addition to practical work, the Partnership gives advice to private and public landowners and closely supports many local countryside Friends groups.
Please do get in touch with us if you want to find out more about volunteering. You would be very welcome to join our happy conservation crew and we have a great range of practical countryside volunteering sessions on offer during every season.
We provide all tools, gloves and task leader instruction as well as the essential tea, coffee and biscuits - why not come and give it a try, there is no fixed commitment.
Also have a look at our Lower Mole Partnership Facebook page to find out more about what we get up to across north Surrey and in to Kingston and what to expect from a task day with us.
We also welcome volunteer groups from local community organisations and companies, large or small, so if you fancy a day out of the office with your colleagues, please do contact us on 01372 743783 or email mole.project@surreycc.gov.uk.
We are building excellent corporate partnerships with many local companies who are already enjoying the benefits of volunteering in the great outdoors with our service, so why not get involved too? We have sponsorship opportunities as well as practical conservation volunteering sessions on offer. Please note that not all tasks and scheduled dates are suitable for larger groups to join in with, so please always contact us initially to discuss best available options.
The Lower Mole Countryside Trust (LMCT) is the dedicated registered charity partner of the Lower Mole Partnership.
