The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 25 (Frensham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 was made on the grounds of public safety due to animal activity under the path. The Order came into operation on 13th February 2025. It was due to expire on 13th August 2025 but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 13 August 2027 or until the path has been made safe, whichever is earlier.

The Order as continued prohibits all horse and cycle traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Public Bridleway 25 (Frensham) between Woodhill Lane and Summer Hill Lane between points A (Grid Ref 483024 141826) and point B, shown by a bold black line on plan no. 3/1/10/H32.

The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.

The alternative route is as follows from point A: proceed north-east along Woodhill Lane and then turn north-west along Summerhill Lane.

This route is the opposite in reverse.
