Public Footpath 75, 75a and 75b (Windlesham) and 75a, 77 (Chobham) and 5 (Sunningdale) and Public Bridleway 76 (Chobham)Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2025

On 17 July 2025 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Footpath 76 (Chobham) from point A (Grid reference: 495186 165933) heading South for 890 metres to point B (Grid reference: 495017 165067). Public Footpath 75a (Chobham) from point C (Grid reference: 495119 165749) heading South for 895 metres to Public Footpath 75 (Windlesham) at point D. Also from Public footpath 75a (Chobham) at point E (Grid reference: 494992 165621) heading East for 140 metres to Public Footpath 76 (Chobham) at point F. Public Footpath 75 Windlesham from point G (Grid reference: 494120  165400) heading South East for 849 metres to point H (Grid reference: 494795 165001). Public Footpath 75b (Windlesham) from point I (Grid reference: 494378 166067) heading south for 775 metres to Public Footpath 75 (Windlesham) at point J. From Public Footpath 5 (Sunningdale) at point K (Grid reference: 595267 166178) heading South to Public Footpath 77 Chobham and continuing South for 912 metres to point L (grid reference: 495723 165097). Shown as a bold line on plan reference: 3/1/83/H23.

The Order is necessary in the interest of safety and security due to the Senior Open golf tournament. The closure will be in operation for a period of 7 days from 21 July 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no alternative route.

“The Public Footpath 75, 75a and 75b (Windlesham) and 75a, 77 (Chobham) and 5 (Sunningdale) and Public Bridleway 76 (Chobham) Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2025” will be made by the County Council under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
