Public Footpath No. 364 (Cranleigh)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 31 July 2025 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along the length of Public Footpath No. 364 (Cranleigh) which extends for about 960 metres in a north-easterly direction from its junction with Barhatch Road (Grid ref: 506865 139 686) to its junction with Public Bridleway 361 (Cranleigh) (Grid ref: 507567 140235). The affected route is shown by a solid black line between points A and B on Plan No. 3/1/5/H55.

The Order is necessary to enable a special event to take place, namely the Cranleigh Farm & Food Festival. The closure will be in operation for a period of 2 days, from 10:00am on Saturday 2 August, until 07:00pm on Sunday, 03 August 2025. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

The alternative route for traffic from the western end of the closure will be:

From point A, head east along Bookhurst Road for about 625 metres, then turn left and head in a generally northerly direction, following Public Bridleway 361 (Cranleigh) for about 765 metres, until you reach point B.

The alternative route for traffic from the eastern end of the closure will be the reverse of the route described above.

“The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 364 (Cranleigh) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” will be made by the County Council under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
