This is an exciting position creating learning opportunities that improve the wellbeing, economic prosperity and resident experience of Surrey residents. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Assistant Curriculum manager who will be keen to maintain the current provision and grow it further. The post holder must have an adult teaching certificate or equivalent.
The salary is £15,330.00 per annum for 18 hours per week 0.5 FTE. The role is based at our Molesey Henrietta Parker Centre Centre, Ray Road, West Molesey, KT82LG or our Camberley Adult Learning Centre, France Hill Drive, Camberley, GU153QB.
Although this post is based at our Camberley or Molesey centres, travel within Surrey to our other centres and venues is a necessity so the post- holder will be a required car user. There will be occasional evening and weekend work.

About the role
Surrey Adult Learning provides a wide range of part-time day and evening courses to adults. Within this the Movement and Wellbeing Programme offers a range of short courses such as, Yoga, Exercise for the Over 50s, Pilates, Tai Chi, Dance, Bread Making and Classic French Cuisine.
The role includes appointing, supporting, managing and inspiring tutors, and volunteers to deliver a high quality Movement and Wellbeing Programme to Ofsted standards. You will also work with centre staff and tutors to organise the Movement and Wellbeing Programme.
You will have experience of teaching some form of Exercise or Cookery to adult learners and of a formal observation process aligned to Ofsted's Common Inspection Framework. Giving information, advice and guidance to potential learners is part of this role and experience of this would be an advantage.
You will need to have a passion for supporting and encouraging adults to participate in exercise or cookery classes and building partnerships with other organisations.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills which you can adjust according to your target audience and be able to use IT confidently. You will need to be able to use your initiative, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
