About this subject
Learn practical tips on crime prevention while you are at home or away. You will practice simple physical techniques to defend yourself against an intruder or someone you feel suspicious of.
The course will teach you how to use a walking aid, long umbrella, or other household items to defend yourself if needed. This is a fun and sociable course with role plays, group discussions and typical scenarios for you to practice responding to.
All learners must complete a learner health information checklist and submit it before the first class.
Our courses run over a period of weeks for a term. We have three terms in the year from September to July plus short courses at the start of summer.
Enrolments open each term in March, July and November. If courses have already started you may still be able to join so please contact us.
If courses are full please sign up to our newsletter to hear when enrolments open again.
