Chess adult learning courses

About this subjectchess board

Chess exercises both sides of the brain. It also improves memory and problem solving skills.

In our beginner's course, we will introduce you to this strategic and problem-solving board game. Discover the special rules of the game and develop new skills and abilities. Do this whilst learning with others with a similar ability in a friendly sociable group.

Our courses run over a period of weeks for a term. We have three terms in the year from September to July plus short courses at the start of summer.

Enrolments open each term in March, July and November. If courses have already started you may still be able to join so please contact us.

If courses are full please sign up to our newsletter to hear when enrolments open again.
