The starting salary for this full-time role is £38,746 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

This is an 18 month fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity.

We are excited to be hiring a new Information Analyst to join our fantastic Business Intelligence team. The team is based in Woking, working in an agile, hybrid way. The successful candidate will be required to travel around Surrey, as well as coming together as a team regularly.

About the team

The Business Intelligence Team lies at the heart of the Adults, Wellbeing & Health Partnerships (AWHP) Directorate providing a dynamic, flexible and responsive service.

We are responsible for:

  • Delivering the Adult Social Care (ASC) Statutory framework and links with national policy makers, the Department of Health & Social Care, Skills for Care and ADASS. 
  • Leading regional data interpretation and insight to support service improvement across the South East.
  • Providing support to operational teams, along with data, information and insight to improvement projects - we are integral to managing analytics across a range of partners
  • Leading on data visualisation within AWHP and taking an active role in the development of systems and reporting tools, promoting excellent IT skills

About the role

As an Information Analyst you will support a range of business intelligence activities including regular and one-off performance reporting, benchmarking, dashboard development and analysis; championing innovative approaches to drive high performance. You will have a proven track record of working in the Social Care arena and understand the care pathway.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Operational reporting across the Directorate, which includes the design, development, roll-out and maintenance of tableau dashboards to the frontline teams
  • Maintaining the underlying data tables for all service reporting
  • Supporting the East Surrey locality teams to understand and improve local performance
  • Leading on reporting for the reablement service
  • The planning, validation, submission and analysis of the Client Level Data (CLD) statutory return
  • Collating the quarterly SE-ADASS regional data collection

To be considered for shortlisting your application will need to evidence the following:

  • Experience of working with data visualisation (eg, Tableau) and data preparation (eg, FME) tools
  • Excellent analytic skills with the ability to exercise high levels of initiative to devise and implement workable solutions
  • Ability to present data and analysis to people who don't work with data
  • Ability to work with others (internal and/or external) to deliver products in a timely way
  • Management skills and experience
  • Experience or knowledge of the adult social care system
