Surrey Community Action posted a request on the Social Value Marketplace asking for help sprucing up their charity headquarters and community hub in Guildford.
The council's Social Value Team reached out to the Facilities Management Team and suppliers, and Corrigenda Ltd were first off the mark, ready to go beyond their usual facilities service provision to provide some much-needed painting and decorating.
According to Surrey Community Action, "Corrigenda came and painted our kitchen and also touched up the bathroom ceiling while they were here. They were very polite and friendly. Looking at the work, everyone in the building is extremely happy with the outcome."
This is a great example of sharing skills and resources, demonstrating how the marketplace can be of real benefit to the community.
