Yoga - Mixed Abilities

Course intent

Yoga helps build your wellbeing holistically, by using slow movements and poses, with deep breathing exercises. Hatha Yoga encompasses physical postures (asanas) and breathing exercises to increase body awareness, build strength & flexibility and improve postural alignment. Whatever your level of experience, you will feel these benefits in this Mixed Abilities course

What will we cover?

You will learn a range of yoga postures (asanas) in standing, seated and lying positions, and how they work in sequence. You will also learn breathing exercises (pranayama) and relaxation techniques.

Yoga teaching is methodical, structured, and progressive. Hatha Yoga involves moving into and holding postures, including variations to suit your developing abilities. The tutor will give you variations for each exercise suited to your own level of experience and ability. The tutor may include using equipment, such as blocks, or bolsters, to help you achieve better alignment.

You will be able to practise the exercises at home and fit them in to your daily routine.
